Description

April Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 16th century to the 17th century. It has been refenestrated and reroofed in the mid-20th century. The building features cruck framed whitewashed brick with a granite rubble stone plinth and timber framing, topped with a Welsh slate roof and a brick stack on the left end. The cottage has two storeys, with two 4-light casement windows over a bow window, a central door, and a 3-light window. On the right end, there is a pair of cruck blades, and at the rear, there are six 2-panel sections of timber framing. The cottage has group value with the Church of St. Mary the Virgin and St. John the Baptist.
