Description
No. 2 Church Street is a cottage dating from around 1700. It is constructed of red brick with a granite rubble stone plinth and has some fragments of timber framing. The roof is made of Welsh slate and features a central brick ridge stack. The cottage has one and a half storeys, with two sets of 2-light horizontal sliding sash windows and two similar dormers in the Lincolnshire style above. There is a door located to the right. A horizontal beam is positioned at the level of the dormer sills, and a similar beam can be found at the eaves level at the rear. Additionally, in the rear gable of the one and a half storey wing, there is a tie beam truss with collar and clasped principals.
