Description

No. 105 Abbey Foregate is a cottage dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of brick on a stone plinth, which may be encasing a timber frame, and features a plain tiled roof. The building is single-storeyed with attic dormers. The central door has a high overlight set in a single ring cambered head, flanked by two 2-light casement windows, also with single ring cambered heads. There are tiny gabled dormers in the roof with latticed windows and crow-stepped coping to the gables. The gable ends have stacks, and the west gable displays painted mock timbering on plaster, which may cover actual timber framing.
