Description

No. 2 Black's Well is a cottage dating from around 1700. It is timber-framed with brick infill and features a tiled roof. The building consists of two structural bays and has a large external chimney stack with an outshut on the northwest gable end. It is a single storey with an attic that includes dormers. The front has two ground floor windows and two gabled dormers, all fitted with metal casements, along with a planked door located to the right. The rear elevation has two additional ground floor metal casements. The external chimney has a coursed sandstone base with tiled offsets and a brick stack, and the outshut at the rear likely incorporates a bread oven.
