Description

No. 140 Abbey Foregate is a house dating from the later 18th century. It is constructed of brick and has a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features a two-window range. To the left, there is a six-panelled door set within a simple architrave. The windows are two-light wood mullioned and transomed, with segmentally-arched heads, and there is a blind central window on each floor. The house has a dentilled eaves cornice and two gabled dormers in the roof, which are adorned with fretted barge-boards. An axial stack is present on the building.
