Description
Sycamore Farmhouse is a house dated 1769, constructed of red and buff brick in a chequer pattern, with a rubble stone plinth and a hipped Swithland slate roof. The roof features a brick ridge and four end stacks, and the building has brick dentilled eaves. It is designed in an L shape, with a wing projecting to the rear on the left side, down Church Lane. The house has two storeys and a basement, featuring two 3-light horizontal sliding sash windows on the upper floor and a central blank frame. On the ground floor, there are similar 3-light sash windows on either side of a 2-light fixed light, which is likely a 20th-century alteration from the original doorway. There is also a 2-light stone mullion basement window below. The left end and wing have three similar 3-light sashes on both floors, along with three blank windows. The ground floor windows here and on the front have cambered lintels. There is a door at the rear.
