Description
The Old Rectory is a house dating from around 1800. It is built of whitewashed brick and features a hipped roof made of Welsh slate, with two rendered ridge stacks. The building has a band and a moulded cornice. It stands two storeys high and has three sash windows on the front: one with eight panes over eight, one with six panes over six, and another with eight panes over eight. There is a central skylight above the main entrance. On the ground floor, there are French windows on either side of a central painted doorcase, which is flanked by pilasters and an entablature. The door is part-glazed. To the right, there is a two-storey wing that projects to the right and rear, featuring a brick ridge stack and two first-floor sash windows with six panes over six. The windows have slightly cambered lintels. Additional sashes and French windows can be found on the right side, which faces the Church of St. John the Baptist. The building was formerly the Rectory and is included for its group value.
