Description

The stable and cottage at No. 2, located on the south side of The Green, date from the early 19th century. The stable is constructed of red brick, slate, and granite rubble stone, featuring brick dentilled eaves and a Swithland slate roof with a stack on the rear. It has three stable doors with cambered lintels, each with a 2-light casement window above. There is a similar 1-light window in the right end of the stone wall. The cottage is made from similar materials and has a 20th-century door and doorcase set in the rubble stone wall facing The Green, along with two brick ventilation diamonds to the right. This building is included for its group value with Nos. 2, 4, and 20 The Green.
