Description

Marion's Cottage is a museum and shop that was originally a cottage, dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of granite and slate rubble stone, featuring Swithland slate roofs and partly rebuilt brick end stacks. The building has one and a half storeys and includes two doors, with a two-light casement window on both the left and right sides. There are outshuts with doors at either end, with a two-light casement above the left end and one and two-light casements above the right end. An outshut is located at the rear. Inside, there are chamfered ceiling beams, an inglenook fireplace with a hood, and a single purlin roof supported by a cross wall.
