Description
No. 15 is a cottage and shop dating from the 17th or 18th century. The cottage is 1½ storeys high and features a 1-storey shop to the left. It is constructed of painted granite and slate rubblestone, topped with a thatch roof, and has a central brick ridge along with left and right rear stacks. The left gable has a slate coping, while the right has a brick coping. The central entrance door is flanked by a 3-light casement window on the left and a 2-light casement window on the right, both with cambered lintels. There is a 1-light dormer above and 2-light casements on both floors at the right end. At the rear, there is a slate-roofed outshut and a 20th-century extension.
The shop is made of granite and slate rubblestone with brick dressings, featuring a Swithland slate roof with a central ridge and left end stacks. It has a central door, a 20th-century shop window with 9 panes by 3 panes to the left, and a 1-light casement window with a cambered lintel to the right. The left end of the shop is blank, and there are a door and two 3-light casements at the rear.
