Description
This is an 18th-century cottage located on Main Street, Newtown Linford. The structure is built of granite and slate rubble, with a Swithland slate roof and brick stacks on the left centre and right end. The front elevation has two storeys, featuring three 3-light casement windows on the ground floor, with cambered brick lintels above the ground floor windows and slate lintels above the left-hand ground-floor window. A three-light casement window is positioned on the right end of the front elevation, with a two-light casement above it. A 20th-century extension is present at the rear, along with a new door and casement windows. Inside, the cottage retains chamfered beams and rafters, and two inglenooks.
