Description

No. 1 Meadow Road is a cottage, now functioning as a shop, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of rendered red brick and rubble stone, featuring brick dentilled eaves and a Swithland slate roof with a stack at the right end. The building has two storeys and is adorned with two 2-light horizontal sliding sash windows, except for a 3-light window on the lower left. The ground floor windows have cambered lintels. There is a central porch that includes a glazed door, and an outshut at the right end with fixed windows. Inside, the cottage has chamfered beams.
