Description
This barn, located approximately 20 meters south of numbers 9 and 9A on Loughborough Road, is likely from the 18th century. It is constructed of red brick with a granite rubble stone plinth, a rear wall, and part of the right gable end, topped with a corrugated tile roof. The gable faces to the right, and the barn features one high storey with two loft openings, two doors, and a blocked double doorway below. There are ventilation loopholes and diamond-shaped openings present. The eaves are brick nogged. The rear side has two additional loft openings, a door, loopholes, and brick dentilled eaves. Inside, the barn has a four-bay double-purlin tie-beam truss roof, which includes collars and diagonal braces. This barn is included for its group value.
