Description

This building, now occupied by Hair by John and José’s Clothes Agency, is likely of 17th-century origin. It was originally timber-framed, but the front was rebuilt in brick and rendered at a later date. The roof is covered with plain tiles, and there are end stacks. The building is 1½ storeys high, with two gabled dormers. Number 9 has a 19th-century doorway and a three-light horizontally-sliding sash window with glazing bars and a cambered head. Number 9A features a 20th-century shop window and door. The building is listed for group value alongside number 96.
