Description
The Old Queen's Head Restaurant is a house that has been converted into a restaurant, likely dating from the 17th century, with extensions added in the 19th century. The right-hand section is probably timber-framed sitting on a granite plinth, while the left-hand cross wing is likely made of brick, featuring a dentil cornice. Both sections are now roughcast and painted white. The building has plain tile roofs with ridge, end, and lateral stacks. The right-hand block is one and a half stories tall, featuring two dormers that break through the eaves, two 20th-century four-light windows on the ground floor, and a 20th-century door at the right end. The later wing has also been refenestrated and was formerly known as the "Queen's Head" public house. The building is listed for its group value with No 32.
