Description

Nos. 7 and 9 South Street are a pair of cottages dating from the late 18th century. They are constructed of brick, with rubble walling at the rear and a brick sill course on the main facade. The cottages are two storeys tall and have a two-unit plan, although they have been refenestrated. Some earlier windows can still be seen at the rear. Number 9 has its entrance at the rear and features two units with a central stack. These cottages form a group with 1 Melton Road.
