Description
This is a late 16th-century house on Beveridge Street, Barrow upon Soar. It is timber-framed with a gable facing the street, and originally comprised a single storey with an attic. The ground floor now has a modern door and window. Above this is a section which may have originally been jettied, featuring a cross beam and two corner posts braced to a curving collar beam. A casement window is situated beneath the gable. The main timbers of the front facade are now covered with planks. The side elevation shows a rubble plinth, continuous vertical posts with arch braces, an interrupted cross beam, and visible ends of inner ceiling beams. A pantiled roof completes the structure.
