Description
The Old Vicarage is a late 18th-century house, possibly with an earlier core. It is constructed of brick with a slate roof and has a shallow 'H' plan. The central three-bay range has a central doorway with a six-panelled door, sheltered by a shallow, bracketed porch. The left wing features a canted bay window on the ground floor and a blind window in the gable. The right wing has a three-light sash window on the ground floor, designed in a Palladian style. Other windows are nine-light sashes with flat, gauged brick heads. The house has two projecting brick and rubble stacks on each side elevation.
Adjacent to the house is a boundary wall made of brick and granite, topped with slate copings. Immediately next to the house, a gateway leads to the churchyard; it features a four-centred stone arch beneath a raised and moulded architrave.
