Description

Nos. 9 and 10 Colne Green are a pair of attached cottages dating from the early 19th century. They are constructed of gault brick in Flemish bond at the front, with red brick on the sides and plastered timber framing. The cottages have a rectangular plan facing north and feature two internal stacks. They are two storeys high and have a two-window range of original sash windows with 16 lights. There is a central blind aperture on the first floor. The cottages have one 20th-century door and one 19th-century two-panelled door, both set in small doorcases with flat hoods supported by brackets. A through-passage is located at the left end, adjacent to no. 8. The roof is hipped at the right end and has a low pitch.
