Description

No. 28 is a house located in Mountsorrel, dating from around 1800, with a rear wing that likely dates from around 1700. The building is constructed of red brick and features a granite rubble stone plinth. The front roof is covered with Welsh slate, while the rear roof is made of Swithland slate, topped with a central brick ridge stack. The rear wing incorporates timber framing with granite, brick, and plaster nogging.

The house has three storeys and is adorned with two sets of 2 over 2 sash windows. A central doorway is topped with a bracketed hood, and it includes a door and an overlight. To the right of the entrance, there is a carriage entrance with double doors, both of which have cambered lintels that are painted. The rear wing is 1½ storeys high.
