Description
No. 50 New Street is a house dating from around 1700, with a later 18th-century rear wing. It is built of red brick and features a thatched roof, while the rear wing is weather-boarded and has a slate roof. The house has one storey and an attic, set on a plinth with a plat band. The roof has kneelered gables, two raking dormers, and chimneys at both ends. On the ground floor, there are two multi-paned wooden windows, a central glazed door with a brick-moulded surround, and a semi-circular arch supported by pilasters, along with an illegible date stone above. To the right of the main house is a two-storey garage wing made of brick and slate, which is of no special interest.
