Description
No. 22 Mill Street is a house dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a hipped Welsh slate roof with brick end stacks. The building has a central staircase plan and is two stories high with a cellar. The front facade has a two-window range with 6/6 sash windows set in moulded cases beneath gauged brick flat arches. There is a central blocked opening and moulded wood eaves supported by consoles. The entrance is centrally located, with steps and handrails leading up to a moulded four-panel door with an overlight, which is framed by a moulded case and topped with a moulded flat hood on fluted consoles and pilasters. The entrance is flanked by additional 6/6 sash windows in moulded cases under gauged brick flat arches. At the rear, there are slate-roofed ranges that feature ornate barge boards and finials, along with various sash windows.
