Description

This is a wall located on the western part of the south side of Silk Mill Lane in Ludlow. It is probably from the 18th century and is constructed of coursed rubble stone and brick, featuring brick and stone coping. The wall extends from Broadgate Cottage to the corner of Silk Mill Lane and then continues south along the east side of Lower Mill Street, where it connects to a section of the Town Wall. It stands approximately 3 to 6 meters high and includes two gateways: one near Broadgate Cottage and the other leading to No. 1 Silk Mill Lane, which is not included in this listing. The wall is noted for its group value.
