Description

Cottage Fayre and the adjoining cottage to the right are likely 17th-century buildings. The structure features a timber frame, with parts rebuilt in brick, and is finished with roughcast and painted white. It has a thatched roof and a brick stack at the right-hand end. The building is 1½ stories tall and has a two-room layout. There are two eyebrow dormers, each with 2-light horizontally-sliding sashes that include glazing bars. On the ground floor, from left to right, there is a 20th-century shop window and door, a small recessed angle-light window, a 3-light horizontally-sliding sash window with glazing bars, and a plank door.
