Description

Spring Cottage is a cottage dating from the early 18th century and 19th century, constructed of rubble sandstone and red brick. It features a plain tile roof with an axial ridge stack and a gable stack, along with the remains of a coped gable on the south side. The cottage is two storeys high, with the east elevation comprising two bays plus one. The main section has a central doorway with a segmental brick arch and a panelled door, flanked by two 2-light casement windows under flat arches. Above, there are two similar windows. To the right, there is an early 19th-century brick bay that includes a 2-light segment-headed casement on the ground floor and a 2-light flat-arched casement above.
