Description

Dorcas Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 17th to early 18th century. It is constructed of red sandstone random rubble and features a thatched roof with coped verges. The building has brick stacks at the left and right gable ends, as well as one rising from the eaves on the facade to the right of center. The cottage is two stories high and has three bays, with 2- and 3-light leaded casement windows. The ground floor includes an inserted canted bay with a slate pentice hood, which continues to the right as a porch supported by two wooden poles. The entrance is a square-headed 20th-century plank door.
