Description

Combe Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located on the north side of Dashwoods Lane in Bickneller. It is constructed of colour-washed random rubble with a thatched roof and stone stacks at the gable ends. The cottage is two storeys and four bays. The windows are leaded casements, some dating from the early 19th century, with a first-floor window in the outer right bay featuring a 3-light chamfered wooden mullion. An entrance is flanked by early 20th-century French windows, and a wooden tile pentice porch shelters a plank door. Raking buttresses are present on the left return, where a setback 20th-century addition is located, and which is not part of the listed building. The interior has not been inspected.
