Description
34 and 36 High Street is a shop and two cottages, now functioning as two cottages, dating from the early 19th century. The building is constructed of red brick and features a plain tile roof with brick ridge and gable stacks. It has a chamfered plinth and a dentil eaves cornice. The structure is two storeys high and has an east elevation with four bays, with each cottage being double fronted.
No 34 has a central doorway with a segment-headed arch and a panelled door, flanked by three-light segment-headed windows of unequal size. Above, there are two 2-light casements under flat arches. No 36 features a central doorway with a reeded wooden doorcase and a panelled door. To the right, there is a three-light former shop window, and to the left, a three-light segment-headed casement window. Above, there are also two 2-light casements under flat arches.
