Description
Old Park Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century, with minor alterations from the early and mid-19th century. It is constructed of red brick with brick dressings and features a plain tile roof, which has stone coped gables on moulded kneelers and brick gable stacks, along with a sawtooth eaves band below. The building is two storeys high, plus garrets, and consists of three bays.
The central entrance has a segment-headed doorcase with a glazed panelled door, which is sheltered by a gabled mid-19th century brick porch. On the west side, there is a three-light glazing bar casement window under a segment head, while the east side has a similar two-light window. Above these, there are three matching windows. An insurance plaque is located over the back door, featuring a figure of Britannia and the inscription 'Guardian' below. Inside, the farmhouse includes a stick baluster staircase and an inglenook fireplace in the western room.
