Description
Slade Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 18th century, with mid and early 19th-century alterations. It is constructed of red brick, rendered on the south side, and features a plain tile roof with brick coped gables and plain kneelers, along with brick gable stacks. The building is two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-bay south elevation. This elevation includes a central pilastered wooden doorcase that holds a recessed panelled door and a rectangular overlight. On either side of the doorcase are tall glazing bar sashes set beneath flat arches. At the rear, there is an early 18th-century red brick range that features a plain first floor band and a gabled staircase tower, which has a full-height staircase window.
