Description
The Baptist Chapel is a Non-Conformist chapel located off Main Street in Ticknall, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a hipped plain tile roof with a dentil eaves cornice. The west elevation consists of three bays, showcasing a tripartite arrangement of three round-arched windows, with the center window being significantly broader and taller. The windows have glazing bars that divide the small panes, adorned with gothic motifs at the top. To the left of the windows is a round-arched doorway fitted with 20th-century double doors and a gothic overlight. The south elevation includes two additional round-arched windows. Inside, there is a gallery supported by two iron columns, featuring a panelled front. The chapel also contains a mid-Victorian preaching platform and simple open-backed benches.
