Description

The Old Post Office, now an outbuilding, dates to the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed of rubblestone with red brick detailing, and has a plain tile roof with brick gable stacks. The building is single storey with an attic. The front gable facing the road features a doorway with a segmental head and a 19th-century panelled door. To the left of the doorway is a two-light segment-headed window. Above this is a small two-light Yorkshire sash window set under a flat arch. The west elevation includes a two-light segment-headed Yorkshire sash window, a three-light 20th-century window under a flat arch, a segment-headed doorway with a plank door, and a three-light Yorkshire sash window. A gabled dormer window is positioned above the west elevation, containing a Yorkshire sash. The building is listed at group value only.
