Description

A pair of houses dating from the early 18th century, located on Main Street in Ticknall. The houses are constructed of red brick with a plain tile roof, featuring a 20th-century ridge stack. Brick coped gables are topped with plain kneelers. The building has plain bands marking the first and second floors, and a sawtooth eaves cornice. The two-bay south elevation includes a 20th-century three-light casement window and a small multi-pane fixed window, both set beneath splayed wedge brick lintels. A doorway with a plank door sits beneath a wedge brick lintel, and a 20th-century gabled porch is positioned to the right. Above are two three-light casement windows, the right-hand one being a 20th-century replacement, both also beneath splayed wedge brick lintels.
