Description

Hayes Farmhouse is an early 19th-century house located on the south side of Main Street in Ticknall. It is constructed primarily of red brick with rendered sections, and has a plain tile roof with brick gable stacks. The north elevation is symmetrical, with three bays. The central bay features a round-arched doorway, with a recessed moulded surround, a panelled door, and a traceried fanlight. Flanking the doorway are sash windows with glazing bars. Above, there are three similar sash windows, the central one being narrower. Contemporary iron railings enclose a small front garden. The interior includes an open string stick baluster staircase with a wreathed handrail.
