Description

Nos 12 and 14 are a pair of estate cottages built around 1840. They are constructed of red brick and ashlar, featuring a hipped Welsh slate roof with a large central chimney. The north elevation is symmetrical with two bays. On the ground floor, there are two 3-light mullioned windows set in deep chamfered surrounds, with diamond leaded lights. These windows are flanked by doorways, also in deeply chamfered surrounds, leading to panelled doors. The first floor has two similar windows. It is said that the stone used in the construction came from the old parish church that was demolished around 1840.
