Description

The K6 telephone box opposite The Chequers in Ticknall is a telephone box built in 1939, designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott. It is made of cast iron and features a wooden door. This square box of K6 type has a segmental domed top. The door and sides are fitted with margin light glazing, while the top has etched glass panels inscribed with the word 'Telephone' and includes raised crowns above. This telephone box is included in the listing for its group value only.
