Description

This is an early 19th century house located on the High Street in Ticknall. It is constructed of red brick with a plain tile roof and brick ridge and gable stacks. The west elevation has three bays. The doorway is off-centre and is set within a 19th-century wooden doorcase, with a 19th-century wooden door. To the right of the doorway is a small, single-light, segment-headed window. To the right again is a three-light Yorkshire sash window with a segment head, and to the left is a similar three-light window. Further to the left is a blocked doorway and a 20th-century three-light casement window set under a flat arch. Above, two three-light Yorkshire sash windows are located under flat arches. An adjoining barn is dated 1826.
