Description
Alkmonton Old Hall is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of red brick, featuring brick dressings and a band at the first floor. The roof, added in the mid-19th century, is covered with plain tiles and has two brick ridge stacks. The building has two storeys plus garrets and consists of four bays. A mid-19th century gabled porch is present, which includes a semi-circular headed doorcase, a 20th-century door, and a plain fanlight. On the east side, there are tall segment-headed cross windows fitted with 20th-century casements. The west side has two similar windows, and above the porch, there are three more similar windows along with a blocked opening.
