Description
Little Hassett is a pair of early 19th-century cottages, now combined into a single dwelling. The construction is of painted brick with brick dressings and a plain tile roof, featuring a brick ridge and a western gable stack. The building has a single storey plus garrets, with two bays. On the east side, there is a three-light leaded casement window beneath a segmental head, and a 20th-century glazed door also beneath a similar head. A small 20th-century circular window with a carved semi-circular hood featuring angel head label stops is present, alongside another 20th-century glazed door set under an original segmental head. To the far west is a further three-light leaded casement window under a segmental head. The east gable wall reveals a queen post roof truss. The interior includes chamfered beams, quarry tile floors, and an 18th-century style carved fireplace inserted in the 20th century. The property is included on the heritage register for group value only.
