Description
Woodfields Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century, with alterations made in the mid 19th century and 20th century. It is constructed of red brick, featuring gauged brick and stone dressings, along with a brick plinth. The mid 19th century roof is covered with plain tiles and has overhanging eaves, large brick gable stacks, and a dentilled eaves band from the 18th century.
The building has three storeys and three bays. The central doorcase is topped by a gabled mid 19th century open timber porch that shelters the original panelled door, which now has glazed panels, along with a plain overlight. On either side of the door are small paned 20th century windows, and above these are three similar windows, with the central window being narrower than the flanking ones. Above again, there are smaller windows arranged in the same manner. The ground and first floor openings feature flat gauged brick arches with painted stone keystones.
