Description
The lodge to Grangewood Hall is an early 19th-century building, with later additions from the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a plain plinth and a hipped slate roof adorned with blue clay ridge tiles. The roof has corniced ashlar ridge stacks and a plain eaves band. The lodge is single-storey and consists of four bays. The original two-bay section on the west side has an advanced central porch supported by Tuscan columns, which is topped with a plain entablature. This porch covers a pilastered doorcase that holds a panelled door. On either side of the porch, there are glazing bar sash windows. To the east, there is a recessed later bay with a similar sash window, followed by a 20th-century recessed addition that features a pair of adjoining glazing bar sashes.
