Description
The churchyard walls and attached garden wall to the Cheshire Home date from the late 18th century and late 19th century, with some minor later repairs. They are constructed of red brick with stone dressings and rock-faced stone. The churchyard retaining walls are made of stone and feature chamfered stone copings, enclosing three sides of the churchyard on the south side. On the east side, there are steps leading up to a gate with a simple metal overthrow on wooden posts. On the west side, there are a pair of carved wooden gate piers, also topped with a simple metal overthrow. The red brick garden walls attached to the west are approximately 10 feet high and extend westward before turning north for about 30 meters. These structures are included for their group value only.
