Description
SK 44 30 PARISH OF SHARDLOW AND GREAT WILNE WILNE LANE, 7/220 GREAT WILNE (East Side) 14.3.75 Derwent Farmhouse No 36 II Farmhouse. Early C18 with minor later alterations. Red brick on stone plinth with gauged brick and painted stone dressings, plus first floor plain band. Steeply pitched plain tile roof with chamfered stone copings on plain brick kneelers, and gable brick stack to south, plus dentilled eaves band. Two storeys plus garrets and three bays. Central doorcase with panelled door and bracketed hood, above which is the original flat arch with stone keyblock. To north there is a glazing bar sash below similar flat arch and to south there is a C20 timber cross window, also with flat arch. Above three similar openings, all with C20 timber cross windows. Similar windows to gable walls, south gable wall now rendered. Interior has original robust column baluster dogleg staircase through three floors and original panelled doors with iron latches.
