Description
Rose Hill Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century, with alterations made in the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of red brick in English garden wall bond and features a machine tile roof. The building has two storeys and originally consisted of six bays, but now has four.
The front entrance includes a 19th-century four-panel door with an overlight and side lights, set within a wide door surround that has reeded pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice, located to the left of the right-hand bay. On either side of the door, there are sash windows with glazing bars, and to the left, there are 20th-century half-glazed doors. There are five blocked original thinner window openings with flat brick arches that can still be seen.
On the first floor, there are four sash windows with glazing bars and six original blocked openings. The eaves are dentilled, and there are brick copings on the gables. The farmhouse has an external gable and features one stack on the right and another on the ridge. Additionally, there is a round-arched stair window located at the rear.
