Description
This is a barn located to the west of Corner Farmhouse, dating from the mid-18th century with later additions and alterations. It is constructed of red brick with brick dressings and features a plain tile roof with stone coped gables and a dogtooth eaves band. The barn is mostly single storey, but there is a two-storey extension to the north.
On the south side, there is a tall segment-headed arch with stone impost blocks and large double plank doors positioned south of the center. To the south, there is an inserted square door, followed by a segment-headed doorcase with a plank door. To the north of the archway, there is an inserted pair of 20th-century doors, and beyond that, the later extension includes a small segment-headed window and a doorcase with a similar head. Above this doorcase, there is a square hayloft opening. The entire 18th-century section of the barn is covered in diamond-patterned breathers. This listing is included for its group value only.
