Description
This is an 18th-century barn located east of Church Farmhouse. The barn is constructed of coursed rubble stone and has a plain-tile roof. The north front has a four-window range and is single-storied with a loft. It features ventilation slots at both floor levels in the end bays, with two first-floor openings, one of which has a brick segmental arch. A single boarded door is at ground-floor level, also with a brick segmental arch. The rear of the barn has two first-floor boarded openings flanked by ventilation slots, and two ground-floor doorways with brick segmental arches dating to the late 19th century. Inside, the barn has a double-purlin roof supported by two king-post trusses, and a stone cross wall. One corner abuts an extension of Church Farmhouse. The barn is part of a group with Church Farmhouse and is included on the list primarily for its contribution to the group's overall character and significance.
