Description

No. 28 Market Place is a house from the mid-18th century that has been divided into two shops with living space above. It is constructed from coursed squared limestone with ashlar dressings and features a Welsh slate roof, brick gable stacks, and stone coped gables with moulded kneelers. The building has angle quoins and is two storeys high. The ground floor includes a 19th-century shopfront and a 20th-century shopfront, located on either side of an 18th-century doorway that has a stone lintel and jambs. Above, there are three 19th-century sash windows set within 18th-century ashlar surrounds.
