No. 17 Bridge Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the early 19th century, with some alterations made in the mid-19th century and the 20th century. The building is constructed from coursed limestone rubble, with sandstone ashlar dressings and quoins, and features a Welsh slate roof with brick stacks. It has three storeys and two bays. The left side has a 20th-century shop front, while the right side has a shallow 16-pane sash bow window. There is a four-panel door at the extreme right, topped by an oblong fanlight beneath a stone lintel. The first floor has sashes with glazing bars, and the second floor has 6-pane sashes, all set in stone surrounds. The building features gable coping and has a stack on the left gable end as well as a ridge stack. This property is included for its group value.
