Description

No 12, known as King's, is a house that has been converted into a shop, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with a pantile roof and brick stacks. The building consists of two sections: the left section has three storeys and one window on the first floor, while the right section has two storeys and two first floor windows.

The left section features a 20th-century half-glazed door and a 20th-century shop front to the right. On the first floor, there is a sash window with glazing bars, and on the second floor, an 8-pane sash window, both of which are set beneath flat brick arches. The right section has a 20th-century shop front, with a two-light Yorkshire sash window on the left and a 20th-century casement window on the right. The left section has gable coping, shaped kneelers, and end stacks, while the right section has a hipped roof. This building is included for its group value.
