Description

No. 38 Market Place is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries and is constructed from red brick and coursed squared stone. The building features Welsh slate and pantile roofs, with two coped gables and a single brick chimney stack. It is two storeys high. The ground floor has a 20th-century shop front. Above this, there is a segment-headed flush framed glazing bar sash window, flanked by single glazing bar sashes, with the one on the left being broader. The building has a T-shaped layout, extending over the alley to the right and adjacent to the shop on the left. It is included in the register for its group value only.
